Lingenfelter Day at the Track

Greg & Donna and Chris attended the 3rd Annual Lingenfelter Show & Drag Day at the Muncie Dragway on Sunday, July 17th. Both cars were entered in the show but neither car ran the ¼ mile. It was a hot day but Lingenfelter is expanding this event and they had a turnout that was many times larger than the previous year. The track was very active and some hot times were posted. Several Vettes and Camaros ran but the track was open to all comers including motorcycles, SUVs, trucks and cars of all makes. With the smell of burnt rubber and the sound of loud exhausts it was a car lovers expedition of American Muscle. Greg was fortunate to take one of the celebrity awards (with his Beater/Go Irish! Vette) in the car show. This selection was from Ken Lingenfelter and Greg initially feared after hearing that Ken was from the Ann Arbor area and had two kids at the U of Michigan that the award might be a football with a block M on it. Ken invited Greg to visit his car collection in the Ann Arbor area and to bring the Corvette Club as an overnight event so look for this as a possible future club event!
