Indy Honor Flight Fund Raiser 02/28 & Welcome Home Event 04/04
At least 8 members of Corvette Indy were spotted at Chip Ganassi's shop
which hosted a fund raiser for the Indy Honor Flight. Several hundred people
toured the facility and had the opportunity to chat with Ganassi staff. Scott
Dixon and Tony Kanaan were there to sign autographs, but your photographer didn't have the patience to wait in line for photos. Thanks to Jim S for the pictures and report on 2/28
John and Diana A as well as Lynn P attended the Welcome Home Event on April 4. It was heart rending. The crowd went "nuts" X4 as the honored veterans arrived and were introduced. Some were able to walk, most in wheelchairs for safety. There were two lady veterans who attended. A good many cried as they received handshakes, salutes, and kisses. They practically filled the basketball court. You can go to the website and see pictures and ways and means to help more veterans go on the next flight. Thanks to Diana for the report, pictures and website link.
