Long Lunch Louie Drive N Dine
The Long Lunch Louie Retiree's and Hookey Players Drive n Dine (aka 'Splash n Go') was held on Wed July 18th beginning at Cool Creek Park in Westfield.
The event was a combined Corvette Indy and Circle City Drive N Dine presented by Robert S. There were 11 Corvettes that started out with dark skies appearing in the distance. Nobody was quite sure what they were since no one had seen anything like them in months. After a nice drive through the park, we were on the way. A tour of the estate homes in Bridgewater subdivision reminded us what green lawns looked like. As soon as the last car left the cul-de-sac, the clouds decided that the cars could use a bath and the rain started. We pulled in Woodshire subdivision on 161st for a 'top stop'.
With the convertibles buttoned up, we continued on to Carmel cutting through the Brookshire subdivision and on to Dooly O'tooles for a hearty lunch.
Somehow, we managed to lose the last car (sorry Bob). In attendance from Corvette Indy were Robert, Shelly N., Arminta I., Greg B. (Donna B joined us for lunch), Sarah Lee R., Jim S., Jack H., and Bob Y. The gang from Circle City consisted of Jerry & Betty H., Alan A. & his brother Doug, Rich & Michelle P., and Rich R. This is a great way to get members from both clubs out and enjoying their Corvettes (even if it did rain).
Also thanks to Robert & Jim for the pictures of the drive
