Mug n' Bun Run
On Thursday October 4 Robert lead a group of the Retiree & Hookey Players to the Mug n' Bun on 10th street. On this day's trip were host Robert, Greg, Jim S, Wylie, Jim & Shelley, Dick & Bonnie, Bill & Erika, and Robert's friend Judie. The group met at Greg's house for a 1PM departure time and we were waiting for Judie to pull up in her Blue Camaro, We were all at the end of the drive as she was the last to arrive, but instead of the Camaro she pulled up in a new Red '13 Grand Sport convertible that she borrowed from her employer for the day's outing. So the days event had a mixture of C4's, C5's, & C6's.
The group headed out for the destination, but of course could not take a direct route there. We first headed up to Carmel, across 106st to Zionsville road, then across 96th and basically running a bit of a reverse on Greg's back country route to Rick's Boathouse. After cruising around the county roads, with one wrong turn (possibly on purpose) we got back on track. As we cruised by Rick's some of the hungrier members wanted to stop, but we continued on taking the least direct route to Mug n' Bun. We finally got to our destination and is was a well deserved one as lunch was really enjoyed by everyone. While there we were met by a couple of Circle City members, Dave S. with his beautifully restored '35 Ford Pickup and John & Maryanne M. and their C6 convertible.
The food was great and everyone had a great time on a most beautiful fall day and all are waiting for the next chance to drive & ride in their Corvettes!
