Rick's Boatyard 03/21

The second day of Spring lived up to it's spot in the calendar as the highs reached in to the 60's with the Retiree & Hookey Player group meetingt for their first Dine then Drive of the year. Starting at Rick's Boatyard at around 2 a group of twenty members and friends of Corvette Indy had lunch and then headed out for a short drive to see road conditions after the hard winter. Those able to make it to the lunch were hosts Greg & Donna B, Phil & Anita V, Jim & Judi A, Bill & Erika L, Jim & Shelley N, Mark & Donna S, Bob H, Greg T, Jeff B, Jack H with friend Jack T, Alan A and his brother, and Terry B & Susie H. Susie was just 8 days from her surgery and moving slowly, but was certainly glad to get out with the club members. After lunch everyone went out to view Phil's beautiful '67 that he had gotten out to celebrate the beautiful day. Then the group that wanted to take a drive headed off following Greg's 'Beater" along to some of his favorite roads near Rick's. He was somewhat cautious though, as none of the route had been driven yet this year, and pot holes or even sink holes were of a concern. Fortunately none were found, just a few patches of rough pavement, so we are good to go for another year of enjoying trips to Rick's.
