An Afternoon Trip to Stories 06/30

On what became a GREAT summer day Tom & Nancy Piercy hosted a long drive to Stories Restaurant in Greensburg for a nice lunch. The day started with everyone meeting at Hamilton Town Center with a small group caravaning from the West side of Carmel. Once everyone assembled there were twelve Corvettes, with a majority in Torch Red, ready leave the parking lot a bit before 12:30. Those able to make the drive along with hosts Tom & Nancy were Mike & Linda Tann, Jim & Bonnie Shaver, Bob & Carol Potter, Harry & Tillie Barthalow, Mark & Donna Schilicthter. Larry & Joy Greenwalt, Bob & Sherry Wilbert, Bill & Erika Lapham, Susie Hale & Terry Stitzer, Cathy Coolidge, and new members Doug & Deb Reeser on their first Drive N Dine. The trip stuck to state roads and wound it's way through to Rushville where we picked up the 13th Vette with member Tim McCord joining the group. As they got into Greensburg Tom made a left turn a block too soon, but this ended up winding us through some of the new plants in the town and actually having to negotiate some curves! The group safely got back on track and to the restaurant with only a 5 minute delay. The lunches were great with most members also availing themselves to a piece of home made pie. As the group headed back to Indy, most jumped on to I-74 with a few taking the more leisurely state roads back.
