Painting With A Twist 04/10
With club member Bill Reynolds taking a new job as an instructor (and sometimes bar tender) at the Painting with a Twist location in Fishers member Linda White hosted an event there. It turned out that just ladies decided to go on the Sunday afternoon, but men had been invited too. So Bill with his 16 students spent the afternoon creating their paintings and enjoying the libations available. Bill's report of the day: The studio was decorated with scale Corvette models to make everyone feel "at home". All the ladies were very "lively"! We went past our 2-hour time limit because they had a lot of questions and were very particular in their artistry - some made some minor changes in how they wanted their painting to look. All paintings turned out wonderful. Donna Bowron won a T-Shirt and Cup in the drawing. And, I think Terry Forey got more paint on her hands than anyone else - the workings of a fine artist!
As Bill also noted when he sent the group pictures in: I think everybody had a great time and everybody's picture turned out different, but it's supposed to. So thanks again to Linda for setting up the event and hopefully they'll do it again sometime. Looks like there is a chance of a continuing event during the non Corvette driving weather in Indiana. Hopefully too the ladies can decide on a meeting to bring their work to display at in the near future. Thanks to Bill & Cheryl and also Judi Alvis for borrowing Jim's camera and documenting the day.
