New Years Lap Around 465

The first Corvette Indy event of 2015 is in the books on a cold but dry January 1, 2015.  A hearty group met at Al and Terry F.'s to make our way to the meeting point for the New Years Day Lap Around 465. The best part of the day was Al's route to the rendezvous  point for the drive. He took us around several back roads in route to 38th and 465. Once we got there parking was impossible. We estimate over 200 cars of all descriptions including the Batmobile.  We made our way to the crowd and listened carefully to drivers' instructions, but didn't hear much: too many people. Our group got separated right way.  I formed up in a mini caravan with a Mustang in front and a Dodge pickup followed by a Corvair behind me. We cruised along at a nice speed.  Somewhere on the south-side, two Mustangs who must not have heard the "no passing" guidelines, went flying by.
