NCM 20th Anniversary Trip - Morning of 8/27

An early morning meeting location for the 25 Corvettes at Traders Point had everyone getting together for the NCM Caravan by signing in and getting in line for the police escort to the Indianapolis Speedway. The police escort was one of our best, with the rush hour traffic being very cooperative to being stopped at the many intersections. Once at the speedway the Corvette Indy group met up with the more than 200 Corvettes of the Michigan Caravan that at were arriving for their lap around the Indianapolis track. Once everyone was wrist banded they were allowed out on the track in groups of 60 for a safe 40 mph drive around the track and a picture taken at the start finish line. With the Corvette Indy group heading to Bowling Green by a different route we chose to be among the last to take our lap and then head out of the track. We did not want to be responsible for leading a group of Corvettes in the wrong direction. With the lap completed we were off to lunch in Nashville IN and then a direct route to Bowling Green KY.
