Church Brothers Car Show

On May 31, a perfect day for a car show, CI members Jeff B & Charity N along with Chris & Paula W attended the first ever car show hosted by Church Brothers collision center. They thought they would have a "small" turnout, well 284 cars were registered!!!! As Jeff went to register he was not sure on what class to enter as they had Best Ford & '81-older/newer, Best GM & '81-older/newer, Best Mopar & '81-older/newer, Best RatRod, Best Modded, Best Import, Best Paint, Best Interior and Best Engine so he entered Best Paint when actually it should have been Best Engine or Best GM '81-newer. After the detailing was completed we walked around and took some pictures where we bumped into Randy & Sherry Sprague. They had the Indiana State Police with a K-9 unit and they had a bite suit which Jeff asked to be a volunteer for but was denied the request. Blue Bell Ice Cream was giving out free samples which was well appreciated. More CI members showed up for support, Alan & Judy C, Rich & Suzanne B and Greg & Donna B with Merlin aka Conehead the Barbarian. Church Brothers had announced that they would match every dollar donated to the WWP and in the end it totaled $11,000. At 2 p.m. sharp the judging began and it was some extremely tough competition as neither Jeff or Chris won but Jeff now knows what class to enter for next year's show. As for hosting their very first car show they did a spectacular job and more CI members will definitely attend next year's event.
