2015 Ale Emporium Steak Night
What has become the mainstay of many members Tuesday night dinner routine is this
'meal deal' that was found by Bill & Cheryl R, who first invited club
members. This weekly event, that started early in the fall of 2014, takes advantage of the Ale Emporium's $6.95 bacon wrapped fillet with baked potato, soup, & salad Tuesday night special. Ale Emporium address is 8617 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN, 46250, just East of Allisonville and North of 86th Street. Club members usually try to get there between 5:30 to 6:00 to get seating and the special, as both are limited. Corvette parking is somewhat limited close to the restaurant so 'metal' cars are usually driven to this event. You can be assured that some Corvette Indy members will be there as long as the steak dinner special is available.

For the dinner before Christmas week there were a total of 13 people. All had steak, and as always great time and great food with great friends. Bill Reynolds told everyone there that this was his last steak night for the year. He plans to be back Tuesday, January 5, 2016, and would just like to say happy holidays from him and Cheryl to all. Please continue to enjoy steak night and will see you next year.

Bill's weekly report - First thing have to say everybody kept warm tonight, with a total of 13 showing up. William's brother and his wife were there for the first time. One person had fish, all others had steak. Talk was about the upcoming holidays, also everyone's favorite holiday movie. Yes Christmas Vacation was one and Miracle on 34th St too. Well until next week as always great time, great friends, and still best value in town.

Total of 11 people showed up some friends rest club members. I believe everybody had steak. A lot of conversation about the upcoming party on Saturday. Everybody looking forward to it. With Thanksgiving coming up on Thursday only 7 members headed to Tuesday night's Steak dinner. Six of the 7 had the great steak while one opted for wings. Those assembled were asked what they were thankful for and all said good friends, of course Corvettes and steak night was also in the top five list. The group wishes to all that were not there a happy Thanksgiving and safe travels over the holiday.

Rain and wind could not keep away 14 people from coming to steak night. Only one person had wings as all others had steak. Talk about the upcoming Christmas party for the club everyone very excited. Also talked about a chance for snow on Saturday, not good Corvette weather as we know.

Veterans Day Parade Small crowd tonight total 13. All had steak, most talk around the table was about the Veterans Day parade. Hoping the weather was going to hold out. Other talk was about being sorry the Colts were going to lose Andrew luck for six weeks bad luck. As always good food with good friends, and as we know best price in town for a steak dinner.

We had 12 people show up this week in-spite of the rain. Our server tonight was Joni, and everyone had steak except for Rita who had pizza which looked very good. Most of the talk was about Wiley and Rita's Halloween party coming up on Friday. Also if you forgot how good the food looked here's some pictures. so please come join us sometime for a great time with a still great price

Great weather last night brought out a very good crowd of Corvette club members, and a few friends and all had steak. Our server last night was Jenny. Bill R's weekly report: We had about 18 people mostly club members a few other friends. Our server was Angie and of course here's a selfie of me and then a selfie of me and Cheryl, then picture of wonder who's coming. As you can see in the wonder who's coming we're finally at the regular tables again because all the construction and remodeling is done. They opened the front windows and there with a nice breeze. Everyone had steak and here's some pictures of the people that were there. Always a good time good friends good food and of course the best price in town thanks to all who came.

With the meeting on Tuesday at Lincoln Tech Bill stopped by to check on the Ale Emporium's remodeling project the next day. Based on whet he saw and was told the room will be open on Thursday 9/10 and therefore ready for the club on future Steak Nights!

We had 10 people show up and everyone enjoyed the steak. They're making more progress on the remodeling of the dining room. Our server this week was Clark. We had two first-timers, Marian's brother, John Rash and his wife Sherry. They have an outstanding red 1960 Vette with 800 hp. We talked to them about joining the club. There is also a picture of Allisonville Road construction which is getting near completion.

This week's group was a bit smaller as only 9 members decided to come by and eat steak. From the pictures you can see that they finally got the floor poured so starting to make a little progress on the remodeling. Of course looking down at the tables wondering who's coming to dinner, and a selfie of Bill. Janet again took good care of the small group with her usual smile. As always a lot of great conversation for an enjoyable evening.

A group of 15 members and friends made it out for the weekly dinner. New to the group this evening were members Gary & Marian (only Vette pictured) and Barb a friend of Bill & Cheryl (who was there this week). This week's selfie had Bill displaying his new Corvette Indy shirt. Only addition to the construction is a pile of dry wall, maybe more progress soon. With enough seats setup everyone ate steak and the server was again Janet. Another good evening with great friends and very reasonably priced dinners.

Here's a selfie of Bill outside of the restaurant proving he was there, the empty tables ready for 'who's coming to dinner' and the remodeling which seems to be going slow. The only thing he could see were some new windows. Our server tonight was Jessica. Everyone had steak except for Pam, who had grilled chicken Caesar salad which looked delicious. We had about 10 people show up. Good conversation good food still the best price in town.

He had heard about us at Drive N Dunk and also checked out things online and has two Corvettes. We may see him soon at one of the meetings. Dick & Bonnie and Doug & Arminta showed up late so they had to sit at a table by themselves. So even if you can't make the early time, a seat will be found for you. Everyone had a great time with good food and conversation and of course everyone appreciates the great price!

A total of 16 club members and friends were at this weeks meal. Of course there's a selfie of Bill along with a picture of 'wonder who's coming' and Janet our server for the night. Everyone had steak except for Susie who had the Hermanaki wings. The Ale Emporium is under some construction so there are pictures show that the main door we usually go through is directing us to an alternate door. Also pictures of where we used to sit as they clear things out to begin the construction. Good conversation good food and good times with all who attended. We had one person drive their Corvette.

Mostly everyone got steak two people got pizza and Donna cashed in her gift card for 4 pounds of Hermanaki wings she did take a lot home. Angie was our server again she may be our regular server for steak night. Like always I included myself out front of the restaurant this time. Also it looks like someone was putting up rabbit ears behind Williams head. A few people drove the Corvettes. We all had a great time good friends good food.

We had a group of 17 people this evening Angie was our server. two people had wings everyone else had steak. Bill had three guests come. Greg and Donna were celebrating 48 years since the first day they met. There was a lot of talk about everyone going to the Penske car show on Saturday and the upcoming Bloomington Gold Days. Great food great fun with great friends.

Greg and Donna stepped out on the ledge tonight and had a French dip and a turkey burger all others had steak. Along with the members there were two people that showed up that were friends of Bill and Cheryl's that joined our group.

Weather looked a little threatening but that didn't stop 14 people from showing up to eat steak. First picture is of the tables with no people and just wondering who's coming then as you can see people began to show up. Great conversation a lot about the 500 track event and pole day and GM sponsored events at the track. Tonight's servers were Angie and Clark and finally take a look Bill trying to show Dick how to take a selfie (Dick still needs practice). Great night come join us if you've never been it's good food good times and good people for a good price.

Tori announced this was her last steak night as she's moving on to possibly Florida or Texas. She also works for Finish Line in Greenwood and they are transferring her to a new location. Notice Dick pulling rabbit ears up behind Greg instead of doing a 'selfie' this week. It was kind of a quiet group tonight but everybody, as always, had a good dinner and great conservation.

With a total of 16 people showing up for steak night, even with a nice evening weather wise, only Phil V drove his Corvette. Our regular server Tori was not able to be there, so we had two other servers Brooke and Amanda. Jim had a big smile on his face because this was the best meal he's ever had.

Tables were all set up just waiting for the group total of 16 people to arrive for this weeks steak night. Among those attending were the first members of Corvette Indy, William and Sharon A, along with Mike & Shirley B who had just returned from wintering in Florida. This was Mike & Shirley's first time and they really enjoyed it. One person had a grilled chicken spinach salad while all others had steak. If you grew up in the 60s you knew the character rat Fink, Bill's friend Stuart brought an original signed drawing by Ed Roth. The final picture is of Bill and Tori with her new hairdo.

A nice evening brought out 19 members and a guest to Steak Night, with one couple opting for a delicious looking pizza. As always conversations were varied from one end of the table to the other, including that Phil V has a 8 week old black lab puppy. Bill and his friend Stewart reminisced about hooking up a sled to the back of Bill's 73 Corvette in the winter and pulling it around Brookside Park. As can be seen, Tori did not have on her club T-shirt. She was very sorry that she could not wear it she had just come from the hospital she had been stung by a bee and was had allergic reaction so maybe next time.

With the weather going out like a lamb 4 Corvettes and 25 members headed to the Castleton Mall area for the weekly steak night treat. Included in the group were even a few of our returning snowbirds, Mel & Norma. Most of the group had a steak dinner but there was one couple that sampled the pubs pizza, to their delight. Also to celebrate Armenta's recent birthday she was presented her own bottle of Heinz 57!
With the weather going out like a lamb 4 Corvettes and 25 members headed to the Castleton Mall area for the weekly steak night treat. The steak night group returned to Ale Emporium in good numbers with 18 members enjoying the evening. Weather was not an issue this week, but road construction on Allisonville did back things up a bit. The gift bag was for Arminta who celebrated her birthday Tuesday. Dick took a 'selfie', looks like he needs to get his finger off of the lens. Tori was again the club's server and was happy to have the group back.

Due to St. Paddy's Day the steak night group headed to Jason's Deli in Carmel to celebrate without 'green' beer. With nice weather several Corvettes also made the trip to the fairly wide-open parking lot. With 15 members the group moved a number of tables together and had great sandwiches, salads and soup for a change of pace. Plans are to head back to Ale Emporium next week for steaks that will be back on Ale's menu.

Steak night was just small group of only eight people which included two new diners. First time there where Jim & Bonnie S. with Bonnie commenting that it was great and they would definitely be back in the future. Waitress Tori said hi to everybody that missed this week.

The first Tuesday of March brought out 15 club members for the great steak dinner and even better conversation. Bill R was there early and took a picture the preset-up tables that are ready for the every week event enjoyed by club members and our server Tori.

A beautiful and warm for January evening brought a good group out for the weekly steak dinner. Along with the number of members attending there was John Mcdowell of the Wright brothers who is a friend of host Bill Reynolds. Corvette Indy has attended Wright Brothers Concerts in the past.

A hearty group of a dozen members braved the clear but cold evening for the weekly get together & meal at the Ale Emporium. Host Bill R was there early arranging the tables and learning this weeks server's name and other information before the majority of the group arrived. As the rest arrived so did Cheryl who was able to make it this week too. The group had lively conversations and a good time as they ate their meals.
