Red Robin 06/17

At the previous night's meeting Bill & Erika announced that they would lead a short drive to the Red Robin on Michigan Road the next afternoon at 1:00pm. With such short notice they still had 2 Corvettes and three members come to their house for the short excursion. Those starting at the house were hosts Bill & Erika, Susie H & Terry S, and Greg B (without either Donna or Merlin). To make the trip a bit longer they wound their way through Zionsville and their brick streets finally getting to their destination at 1:45. Once there they were met by Shelley N, while Jim stayed home to 'oversee' the installation of a new heater & air conditioning system. It was good for Shelley to get out of the house, as it was already getting warm inside it due to the warmest and muggiest day of the year. The group was also joined by Mike & Linda T, who drove directly to Red Robin since Mike's healing hand surgery doesn't allow him to safely drive his 6 speed Vette. He is hoping to hear good news on that at the next doctor's visit. The lunch was great, with several of the members taking advantage of 1/2 price burgers that day only, the true reason for the rush to have the Drive N Dine on Tuesday. The conversation lasted until nearly 4, with Shelley thinking that maybe she should just stay until 7 or even closing in the air conditioning. Another fun afternoon, even if with a small group.
