​ACA Rallies 07/09

On a beautiful Saturday Butch & Tammy met Bill & Erika at the Ricker's just off of exit 210 to head to Daleville for the Anderson Corvette Association Rallies. With no car show in the morning the two couples arrived as one of the first to register for this year's Tim Harless Memorial Fun Rallies, an annual event of the Anderson club. Once everyone had signed up there were 12 Corvettes and 4 metal cars that headed out a bit after the drivers meeting. For the 'fun' rally the route was pretty, questions fair with some difficult ones. The only issue became the 2 hour time limit which most tried to do, but few did. The time limit was later not used due to some late Saturday route interference. After a GREAT dinner (the DnD part) provided by the Anderson members the results and prizes were announced. Butch & Tammy got a 2nd in the Fun rally and two 1st in the Poker rallies, their skill at drawing winning cards continues to amaze all! Bill & Erika had found the correct answers to most of the questions, but letter case and punctuation was counted against their efforts. Unfortunately their skill at drawing cards doesn't match the DeWitt's prowess either. Both couples did well with the door prizes they received along with the other competitors. All in all it was a fun afternoon and a great day to drive around the countryside near Anderson and then have a big meal to finish it off.
